Something that has become so clear to me is that Satan does not fear scripture.
 Satan understands scripture very well.
What he does is he perverts it.
His lies can be subtle to the untrained eye because he uses scripture.
Satan is very spiritual.
Satan has similar language.
But what he does is he takes what’s holy and he calls it evil.
He takes what’s good and he manipulates it.
Satan is the deceiver.
And this deception is not usually blatant.
Discernment is knowing what is good from what looks good.
Most people can call out blatant evil.
But Satan disguises and hides as an angel of light.
He takes the beautiful truth and twists for his benefit.
Did God really say?
As I’m studying the ancient gnostic gospels it has become so clear to me.
Satan perverts all that is holy.
The snake in the garden is the enemy of our souls.
The tree of knowledge of good and evil is the downfall of mankind because instead of trusting God-we wanted to know things for ourselves.
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord.
We wanted to test things for ourselves.
We wanted all of the expansive knowledge, but along with that came the knowledge of evil.
Satan wins if he can sell you self.
Satan wins if he can make you self-sufficient or dependent on anything outside of the Lord.
Adam and Eve wanted all of the knowledge to become like God.
But they ate from the tree void of life.
The Lord wants us to trust Him.
To depend on Him.
To listen to the parameters that he has placed to keep us safe.
The boundary lines that are there so that we won’t get hurt.
Satan comes to steal and kill and destroy, and he starts with our knowledge.
If he can corrupt how we view God-he has won.
He takes everything good and steals it, and kills it and destroys it.
And when sin entered the world and birthed death-our desires became corrupt.
The Lord has come to make every crooked place straight.
First starting within ourselves.
We must choose whom we will serve.
For me at my house, it will always be the Lord
